Britain Is Starving for Proper Bread
The Industrial Reality
  • 92% of UK bread is industrial junk
  • 12–18 additives per supermarket loaf
  • Most "artisan" chains use frozen dough
  • Real bread has become a rarity
What People Actually Want

When Londoners discover authentic sourdough, they queue for hours. They return every single week. They bring their friends, their families, their neighbours.

This isn't a trend. It's a hunger for something real in a world of shortcuts.

The Sourdough Sophia Difference

Long-fermented sourdough with zero additives. Just three ingredients: flour, water, and salt. Every loaf baked fresh on-site daily, from our signature sourdough to cinnamon cruffins, cross-laminated bows, and pain au chocolat. Real bread, real ingredients, real craft.

Why Sourdough Sophia Wins
Gail's

Positioning: Premium mass-market convenience

Premium pricing, upmarket feel, polished corporate presence

Ole & Steen

Positioning: Cool Scandi vibes

Scandi aesthetic, imported Danish flair

Sourdough Sophia

Positioning: Family, home, community

Staff know your dog's name, community cards for locals, exclusive VIP pins for die hard fans

We're not competing on pricing, convenience or cool factor. We're building something far more powerful: a bakery that feels like it belongs to the neighbourhood. That's why customers return week after week.

Community is in our DNA

We were born from our community, built by it, and continue to grow with it. Everything we do is for the people who shaped us: our guests, team, investors and suppliers. We've connected to our community in the deepest way, and this sets us apart from the crowd.

Your Investment Questions, Answered
I’m ready to invest. What do I do?

Simply click the "Invest Now" button below and follow the steps. We will send you a signed Investment Agreement. Review, e-sign, and wire your investment. We will then issue you with your shares. The entire process can be completed on the same day and takes just minutes!

Is making an investment time consuming and complex?

No, not at all! The whole process can be completed in minutes. Once you let us know that you'd like to invest, we'll send you an Investment Agreement. You'll then be able to review, e-sign, and complete the investment right away. It's easy peasy.

What will you do with the money?

We are opening three new sites in 2026. Primrose Hill, Covent Garden and West Hampstead, and launching a wholesale bread operation from our Bermondsey Railway Arches in May. This round bridges us to break-even at seven sites, targeted for October 2026.

How would I make a return on my investment?

By investing, you become a shareholder in the company. Any profits not reinvested into the business may be paid out to shareholders. As Sourdough Sophia grows, the value of your shares is expected to rise. You may then realise significant profit by selling your shares in the future.

What is EIS and is it easy to claim?

The Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS) is a UK Government initiative encouraging investment in small growth companies like ours. It offers substantial tax relief: if you pay UK income tax, you can claim 30% of your investment back. After your investment, we provide everything needed for a quick online claim – no accountants necessary!

What is the minimum I can invest?

The minimum investment is £2,500. This helps us maintain a clean and straightforward company ownership structure.

What is the maximum I can invest?

From our perspective, the more the better! Depending on where we are in our fundraising round, you can invest anywhere up to £1.5M.

How have you arrived at your valuation?

Our valuation of £9M represents 2x our projected 2026 revenue of £4.5M, a standard and well-supported multiple for a business at this stage. We benchmark against sector peers and project a £25M+ valuation by 2029.

How can I support you if I'm not able to invest?

If you know anyone who might be interested in this opportunity, please share this page with them or put them in touch with Sophia at sophia@sourdoughsophia.co.uk. You can also share our raise on social media and mention us to your friends and colleagues!
